 Us and Home Education!!
Home Welcome My name is Maz, I am a mum who is new to home education and decided it was to be a new start for all, which means me trying something new too!! I thought a Web page would be a good idea and an ideal place for me to share all the links I come across. So here it is!! First a little about Us: We are a family just starting out in Home Education with our 2 oldest, Kayleigh 11 and Marley 8 after becoming seriously disillusioned by the school system. Jazz our youngest does go to our local pre-school 4 mornings a week but that is only until the summer break, then the trouble really starts!! I am joking, although he is a bit of a whirlwind so it will certainly change the dynamics of the situation! Anyway 3 -4 weeks in and kids seem happy, certainly not work shy as I had feared they might be. We have relaxed as a family and have started talking alot more. We do have an advantage at the moment as hubby Mike is unable to work right now due to an injury, so we are both at home. Although not good on the pocket it does give us the luxury of time, so we share household duties and educating the children. We also share my dogs!! Kali is a Yorkie cross Jack and she bred with a Yorkie cross Jack at the start of 2005. The result was 4 puppies, 2 that looked like Yorkies, 1 that looked like a Jack Russell and 1 that didn't really look like anything!! 3 good homes were found for the 2 Yorkies and 1 Jack and we decided to keep the odd-ball that we had named Sweep(after Sooty and Sweep because he made noises like him when he slept). Mike's never been that keen on dogs but it seems that Sweep has decided he is Mikes dog, lol. Never a sweeter couple have I seen!!! You will find pictures of the kids and dogs in our Photos section, but none of me or Mike. We're camera shy!!
